My Take on the MAJOR LUTIE Power Cage

I've had it and used it for the past 8 months. It definitely has its pros and cons and I'll get into that in a minute. But overall, it is amazing especially for the price of around $800-$900. Other racks we really wanted to get but was extremely out of what we could afford was the Rogue full cage. The price tag was above $6k I believe and that didn't include any weights at all or any other equipment-yeah.. no, sayonara Sammy (New Girl reference lol).

I love the versatility of the cables and the many, many loads of attachments you can get for those. The pull up bar with the multiple grips is great, although I do love a straight pull-up bar but I plan to install one anyways for muscle-ups. The parallel dip attachments are nice and sturdy (I don't feel like they will fail). For reference, I am 6ft 210lbs.

The feet grips are a nice touch on one side of the cables for doing cable rows and on the other side is a landmine attachment which is awesome if you've never heard of one or used one. Great for targeting back muscles doing standing rows and such.

The one thing I think is lacking is the amount of weight plate storage. One one side they put a double post for placing 2" Olympic plates but it can store approximately 4-6 plates on it and it is questionable how much weight it can hold as it sways a good amount. I avoid overloading one side so it doesn't lean too much and snap one of the welds.

The other thing I don't love about it is there are no cross supports on the rack to prevent it from shaking and rocking side to side when dismounting or placing heavy weight back on the J-hooks or safety bars. It still seems sturdy and has heavy gauge metal but I would prefer it not shake as much as it does. I could DIY a few solutions to prevent it but I'll hold off for now.

If you're in the market or a great home gym addition that is multi-function I can't recommend it more. Keep in mind the few things I don't like but overall an absolute fantastic and budget friendly addition to any home gym.

Let me know your thoughts on the rack you have or the one reviewed here below in the comments section. Curious to see what home gym setups we have out there floating around.
