Convenient Features: Equipped with pipe sleeves on each side for easy tying or securing down, repurposed billboard vinyl's offer convenience and versatility. While they may lack grommets, these tarps provide a practical solution for a variety of outdoor tasks, making them a valuable addition to any toolkit.

My Take on Repurposed Billboard Vinyl's

I have to say I agree with most everything the company boasts of this product on their website. They are very thick, clearly made to last in all sorts of weather made with a really thick, woven material. They are definitely waterproof and they are relatively cheap with regard to the size you get and the material its made from compared to those cheap, thin blue tarps everyone normally opts for.

So I like all those things for sure. There are a few things I don't like about them...

Stiff and Brittle. We live in a place where it gets pretty cold and wet and very snowy. I have noticed that during the winter season in cold weather these covers get very stiff and they seem brittle.

I'll be uncovering our side-by-side or my tractor to get ready to go to work on the property and the vinyl will be difficult to move and uncover the equipment and I notice a sound that seems like I'm ripping it or breaking it. I haven't ever noticed an actual tear from those sounds but I've notice over these few months that more tiny holes that let light through the material have started showing up. Not a big deal yet but I've only had them for about 4 months.

Tie Down Spots. As mentioned on their website, these vinyl's do not come with grommets for tie downs but there are pipe sleeves but on the ones I've received they are only located on adjacent sides not opposites. This was a let down because I didn't order the extra grommet kit so in order for me to tie them down to my equipment I cut little slits in the material so I could get a bungie cord hook to work on it. Again, not a huge deal and those slits haven't ripped any bigger but that's just something to consider.

Other than that, these things work great for covering equipment or other assets you have laying around your property without forking over your life savings. They are very good at protecting your equipment - definitely recommend.
